
Erik Christensen, MSW, LCSW
Erik Christensen obtained his Master's of Social Work degree from Dominican University.
​
Erik has worked in the field of social work for over 20 years. Aside from working in private practice, he has assisted adolescents and their families in several different environments including the juvenile justice system, residential placements, and schools.
​
Currently, Erik treats individuals, families and groups, with a focus on those struggling with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, substance use, self-esteem, life coaching, men's issues and more.

My Journey
When life seems confusing and is overwhelming, I can walk with you, help you seek answers, and find hope. Feeling anxious, nervous, alone, angry or overwhelmed? Struggling at work, home, school, or in relationships? I can help you seek the changes in life you desire. My counseling/coaching services are geared toward helping individuals, groups, and families with any multitude of problems that arise.

I believe compassion, humor, and understanding are the skills people need to accomplish their optimum level of functioning. My empathy helps make my clients comfortable by using a non-judgemental, caring approach. My goal is to help promote healthy change for anyone, at any point in their life.

I have experience in working with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, substance use, anger management, behavioral issues, self-esteem, school issues, life transitions, men's issues and more. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Solution Focused, as well as taking a client-centered and strength-based approach with every person.
My pledge to my clients is to guide them along life's journey to their chosen destinations.
